Our Approach

At Connections Community Services (CCS), we use a variety of strategies to support families past many common roadblocks faced in communication between parent-child/youth relationships. Triple P is the first level of intervention used to improve communication among family members. Sometimes parents need a break and we know that self-care is important. Respite services are available as well as family and individual counselling to support all your needs.

Do you offer strategies to manage aggressive behaviours with my child/youth?

Yes. Triple P addresses these common issues

Am I a bad parent if I have to do a Triple P program?

You are an amazing parent for taking the Triple P program. It shows that you want what is best for your family and you are open to trying new things.

What if I find out after taking the Adverse Childhood Effects (ACEs) test that my child/youth has been exposed to trauma or is at- risk of developing trauma. What should I do?

Remain calm. This is the first step to getting help. Speak to your family doctor. Speak to us. We will connect you to resources for support. We work with psychologists, psychotherapists and social workers who may provide counselling for you.
